MSI launched the first notebook based on the Radeon HD 8970M graphics card “GX70 3BE” before AMD officially released it, and the laptop is specially designed for mobile game players.

GX70 3BE is not only with the strongest AMD notebook graphics card, but also the strongest notebook processor, which is the Richland A10-5750M, quad-core, 4MB L2 cache, 2.5-.5 GHz CPU, Radeon HD 8650G graphics core (384SP/720MHz) and 35W thermal design power.

AMD claims that the combination of Richland A10 and 8970M is about 10% faster than Trinity A10, 7970M and 6.7% faster than the GTX 680M when run the 3D Mark Fire Strike.

The notebook uses a 17.3-inch anti-glare screen with a Full HD resolution of 1920*1080. Its size is 428*288*55mm and it weights 3.9kg, and it’s with a nine-cell 7800mAh battery and a 180W AC adapter, but the shell mold is substantially the same with the existing GX70, and there is no significant change.

Other major configurations include: two DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM memory slots (maximum capacity of 32GB), up to 1TB 7200 rpm hard drive/solid state drive, BD combo/DVD burner, Killer E2200 NIC, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi wireless LAN, Bluetooth 4.0, integrated Realtek ALC275 sound card and stereo speaker /subwoofer, high-definition camera, SteelSeries 103 key backlit keyboard and SDXC/SDHC card reader.

The input and output interfaces are also very rich: it has three USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, VGA, HDMI, RJ-45 and headphone/microphone/line input. It supports Eyefinity wide multi-screen technology.

This laptop will be listed in June. And it’s estimated the pure hard drive and 8GB memory model will probably sell at $1200-1300, the model with SSD, Blu-ray and 16GB memory is more than 1500 U.S. dollars.
