The success of the Nexus series makes us focused on Motorola’s upcoming X-Phone. But from the previously revealed information, the benchmark of it is only 15,479 even it’s with the Android 5.0 system, which makes us a little disappointed. But today there is another XT1055 model new Motorola device exposws, which is with 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, running Android 4.2.2 system, and the benchmark is 18,252, is this the expected X Phone?

According to the previous log file on Google’s servers, we already know that Google will launch Android 4.3 system on the upcoming I/O conference, rather than the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie system which we had anticipated, therefore, the release time of the previously exposed Google X may be delayed, while this device equipped with Android 4.2.2 is most likely to be announced in the current I/O conference, and it’s most likely to be the X Phone.

Recently it’s rumored the X Phone will support custom hardware. And there is news that two code-named “Ghost” and “Yeti” new machines are being developed and will be launched for operators in the U.S. market.

The X Phone will provide hardware customization services. For example, the contents users can customize may include color and RAM size. In addition, users can also customize part of the phone’s software features, including preloaded own wallpaper, ringtones, applications and contacts. The machine even allows users to unlock the bootloader and SIM card.

It is reported that Motorola X Phone is likely to be released in Google I/O Assembly in June this year, and to be sold through Google Play App Store. Despite the Motorola X phone is a high-end model, it is alleged that Google will provide price subsidies to attract more buyers.

Compared to Motorola X Phone this year’s main products, the exposed two new machines should belong to the mid-range models from the hardware configuration. The code-named “Ghost” Motorola new machine will be launched for the United States four carriers AT&T Mobility, T-Mobile USA, Verizon Wireless and Sprint Nexte. Outside of the U.S. market, it will be available in Brazil and other South American countries.

As for the phone functions configuration, this new machine will be loaded with a 4.65-inch touch screen, and supports for 720p HD resolution and it’s equipped with Android4.2.2 system. In order to obtain a more fluid control experience, Motorola also equips the machine with 2GB RAM memory and 2200mAh capacity battery.

This new machine is loaded with 1.7GHz Xiao Long 600 processor (APQ8064T), whose main characteristic is to have four Krait 300 cores, also it’s with Qualcomm third generation LTE baseband chip (9×25), but the integrated graphics chip is Adreno 320.

As for the other “Yeti” coded new machine is currently only known it’s partly carrying Android4.2.X system, and will be launched by the U.S. carrier AT&T Mobility.

According to media reports, Motorola will launch the X Phone in this year’s Google I/O developer conference, and it will be equipped with the latest Android 5.0 system to become the first model to run the new generation system. However, on the naming of the phone, Google will not continue the previous Nexus series name, but to use the “X” mark which we can often see in the Android system to name the phone.

In addition, the Motorola X Phone will be equipped with a 5.0-inch touch screen and borderless design, it is expected the supporting resolution will reach FHD level, and it will have the new user interface design. According to the disclosed information, the new interface of the mobile will be similar to the style of the Nexus series.

The Android5.0 system equipped on the Motorola X Phone is code-named Key Lime Pie. And seen from the current understanding information, it will not only be likely to bring more smooth experience, but also to set the Chrome as the default browser, and add a new document management functions.

In order to solve the problem of battery life caused by hardware upgrade, the Android5.0 will have the new power management system, and will also bring better security features.

As this year’s Google I/O Developer Conference will be held in San Francisco in May, it is expected that the Motorola X Phone will be also likely to officially debut by then.
