Earlier today, Sony finally announced its Xperia Tablet Z Tablet PC in Japan. As you can expect, this Android 4.1 tablet has a 10.1-inch screen, and a similar design element with the smart phone, but its internal specifications are as following: It’s with Qualcomm 1.5GHz quad-core APQ8064 processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB built-in storage, 10.1-inch 1920×1200 screen (with Mobile Bravia Engine 2), 8.1 million Exmor R camera, NFC, LTE (MDM9215M Radio), microSD supporting, as well as Sony own S-Force virtual surround sound technology.
It is amazing that all those are closely placed in its 6.9mm thick body, and the weight is only 495 grams. It is not only a major leap after the Xperia Tablet S retire, but also breaks the Toshiba Excite 10 LE records in two fields (thickness and weight).
The tablet is equipped with a 6000mAh battery, slightly smaller than the Excite 10 LE 6690mAh. Of course, the Sony Xperia Tablet Z is both waterproof and dustproof. However, the price and the sale date are unknown.
