As early as in December 2012, Samsung had already disclosed this Galaxy Grand phone, but it has been no statement about when this photo to be launched. If you happen to be in India, then your waiting is over. Samsung launched in India this 5-inch screen phone today, which supports dual card dual standby. From the exterior, the phone looks like a slightly larger Galaxy S3, but it lacks some high-end flagship specifications.
Samsung Galaxy Grand is equipped with a 5-inch 480×800 resolution TFT display, it has 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, and 2100mAh battery, it runs Android 4.1.2 jelly beans system.
Nevertheless, based on its supporting dual SIM card, it should be aimed at the commercial market rather than technology-oriented enthusiasts. In order to help the processing of multi-tasking, the Galaxy Grand also supports multi-window function, which is also one of the selling points of the Galaxy Note II.
The price of the phone in India is 21,500 rupees, about $400. It is unclear when it will be launched in other market, perhaps we have to wait until next month’s Mobile World Congress (MWC 2013).
