Before next week’s CES, Samsung has announced the launch of two 7-Series laptops, Series 7 Chronos and Series 7 Ultra, and they join to the Samsung Series 7 Slate and Series 7 Gamer series and become one of the company’s flagship laptops.
The Series 7 Chronos laptop offers up to 1TB hard drive storage, and adopts Radeon HD 8870 graphics chip and has 2GB memory, quad-core Intel Core i7 processor and up to 16GB memory. The body thickness is 20 mm, and it supports ramdisk to further speed up the boot. The Series 7 Chronos body weight is 5.18 pounds. It’s with a 15.6-inch 1080p display, optional 10-point touch screen, Samsung said, the Series 7 Chronos continuous use time is up to 11 hours. But Samsung has not yet announced the price of Series 7 Chronos.
Series 7 Ultra uses a 13.3-inch 1080p display (touch screen as an option), it has Core i5 or i7 processor, AMD graphics card, 1GB memory, up to 16GB memory and 256GB SSD. Body weight is only slightly more than three pounds, eight hours battery life and optional LTE connectivity feature. The price is also not available.
Samsung has not announced the Series 7 Chronos and Series 7 Ultra Listing Date, but they will display these two products in next week’s CES 2013.
