Several people in the legal profession said on Wednesday, Apple will require U.S. federal judge Lucy Koch to add Samsung’s infringement damages to $ 3.0 billion in a hearing on Friday.

Koch ruled last month that Samsung’s products infringe Apple patents and amounted to $ 1.05 billion in damages should be paid to Apple. The legal profession said the court thought that Samsung is “intentional infringement”, which is the basis that Apple’s claimed a compensation of $ 3.0 billion.

A legal insider said: “Because of this, Apple has decided to require Samsung to compensate of $ 3.0 billion at a hearing held on September 21 in San Jose, California.”

This Monday, Koch also dismissed Samsung requirements that to undo the ban of stopping selling the Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet computers in the United States. In June this year, the court issued a preliminary ban order on Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
