A few weeks ago, multi channels broke the news, Hewlett-Packard was developing a 10-inch Android tablet, but this may not be entirely correct. In fact, HP is developing the tablet and notebook hybrid products (similar to Intel’s ultrabook), and R&D two models at the same time, one runs Android , while the other runs Windows 8. HP has officially released the two new devices, and will be on sale in August of this year.

The device with Android system is named as HP Slatebook X2, while the one with Windows 8 system is named as HP split X2. Both will be sold together with a keyboard, so consumers do not need to purchase an additional keyboard. When the keyboard is disconnected from the body, the two machines become a standard Tablet PC.

The Android system Slatebook X2 retail price is $ 479.99, and this is a high-end device. The HP Split X2 is a Windows 8 device, and its positioning seems to be for the low end, although it’s priced at $ 799.99. The device is equipped with a 13.3-inch 1366×768 resolution display, 7W Core i3 processor, 4GB RAM and 500G storage space. Both Otellini and Smith haven’t mentioned the specific screen size, but the price indicates that at least a part of the equipmenta will be used to the smaller size screens.

The computer products of 200-300 U.S. dollars are mainly dominated by Android, including the 7-inch Nexus 7. Such products are mainly with quad-core processors provided by Qualcomm and Nvidia, but are all based on the ARM architecture.

The Bay Trail chip is expected to be listed during the Christmas shopping season this year.
