At the end of Acer’s news conference, the company announced a large screen smartphone Liquid S1. Acer Liquid S1 is with a 5-inch 720p resolution screen, which is the company’s first mobile phone product with a more than 5 inches screen. The phone will be available in European and Asian markets, currently there is no plan to visit the U.S. market. In addition, it will also provide dual card dual standby version according to different market demand. Slightly unfortunately, the Liquid S1 does not support LTE networks.
As to other configurations, the Acer Liquid S1 is equipped with MediaTek 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB, it runs Android 4.2 operating system and the battery capacity is 2400mAh, which can satisfy a full day usage.
The Liquid S1 has a super wide angle camera, which is up to 88 degrees, and also supports smile shutter camera and voice. Acer said, Liquid S1 is a true multi-tasking smartphone, the Float Apps can provide multitasking capabilities small window on the screen, support multiple applications running simultaneously, and the phone will provide a transparent background to allow the user to see those running applications.
The Acer Liquid S1 is priced at 329 euros, and it’s expected to be released for the first time in the third quarter of this year in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Ukraine, Russia, United Kingdom and Germany.
